The most common type of accident is the rear end collision. According to published reports, rear end collisions account for approximately 2.5 million incidents per year throughout the country. The results may yield minimal damage but the poor nature of the bumper makes it more likely that the occupant’s body will absorb the brunt of the accident.

 

Most insurance companies use this to their advantage by stating that the damages incurred during  a low impact accident cannot yield significant injuries. This is not always true because while the car can withstand a low impact collision, the human body cannot. The result of these accidents is often injuries such as whiplash and low back pain for the occupant and an uphill battle with the insurance company to settle the case for a fair amount.
